ORANGE PARK, FL -- Dennis Sanders-Jones knows he has one shot at life.

And he's trying to position himself for success in the face of tempting distractions.

"There's a lot of drugs going around. And when they try to give it to me, I just try to remember what we learned in the program," Sanders-Jones says.

That new program is called Rites of Passage. It helped him fight off peer pressure, and learn how to become a better person.

Dennis graduated from the program in May. Now, the group is looking for new recruits from across the First Coast.

Rites of Passage starts simple -- learning how to tie a tie -- and moves on to more serious subjects, like managing your temper.
